Platinum purity is whatever your material actually is, so type it rather than picking it — anything from 1 to 999. Add a row for each different purity in the lot.

    Not sure of a karat? Tick your best guess. The assay on arrival is what governs, and you watch it happen.

    How much of each?

    Weigh it however you normally weigh it. Every figure we show you comes back in the same unit.

    One unit for the whole lot, because you weighed it on one scale.

    Gross weight, stones and all. Leave a grade blank if it turns out you have none — we will drop it. We do not convert your figures into another unit.

    Who are we quoting?

    We send the figure to you so you have it in writing, and so there is someone to call if the lot and the declaration do not match.

    Optional. We buy from the trade, so it helps to know who we are dealing with.

    The carrier needs a delivery contact for the container, so we need a number.

    Asking for your figure commits you to nothing. Nothing is locked until you choose to lock it.

    Where does the container go?

    Closing is what sets the value we declare, and our carriage insurer sends the container to a street address. A suite or a booth number is fine. A PO Box is not — FedEx cannot deliver a container to one.

    The price you close today stays locked with no deadline until you have delivered the full closed weight.

    Send less than you closed and you are paid the locked price on what arrives — the rest stays locked at that same price for whenever you send it. Send more and the excess settles at the market on arrival.

    By closing you agree to the program rules. The locked price applies to the weight you closed; the grade you declared is confirmed by the assay on arrival.

    Your insured container is on its way. We’ll email you the tracking. Cover is declared per lot, on the figure you just closed, which is why the container follows the lock rather than arriving with it.

    What happens next. When the container arrives, put the lot in it, seal it, and hand it over at a staffed FedEx counter. Take the receipt — cover starts at the first carrier scan, so a drop box leaves the lot uncovered until someone collects it. There is nothing to print, nothing to attach and nothing to pay. We will book the video call for the assay when it lands.
